Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi Game Reserve occupies the eastern portion of the Okavango Delta and is widely regarded as offering the best all-round game viewing in Botswana. The reserve uniquely combines the Delta's water wilderness with drier mopane woodland and savanna, creating habitat diversity that supports an exceptional range of wildlife.

Moremi is a stronghold for African wild dogs — one of the continent's most endangered large predators — and the painted wolves are regularly encountered on game drives. Lion prides, leopards, cheetahs, and spotted hyenas are all present in good numbers. The reserve's Chief's Island is legendary for its Big Five concentrations, particularly during the dry season when wildlife gathers around the last remaining water.
