Your aircraft descends over the endless golden plains of Seronera, where acacia trees dot the landscape like sentinels. After touching down at the airstrip, your guide greets you then enjoy a short briefing before starting the game. A welcome briefing over chilled passion fruit juice outlines the rhythms of the bush. The distant grunt of a zebra and the rustle of grass signal that you have arrived in the Serengeti’s heart. The air carries the scent of dust and wild sage, and within minutes you may spot giraffes swaying between umbrella thorns or a lioness lounging on a kopje. Late evening we transfer you to Tukaone tented camps, where the canvas walls open onto the open savannah. Returning to camp, lantern-lit paths lead you to a dinner of grilled tilapia and seasonal vegetables under the stars. Tomorrow, you will rise before dawn to track predators along the Seronera River, where the morning light reveals the park’s true pulse.
